Wintertime Saturday mornings all over New Zealand hold children haring around in the frost and chill, running their hearts out and learning the skills of their chosen sports. No matter where you are in New Zealand, it's the same scene: kids doing their best and parents lining the sidelines passionately supporting them. Very cool to see this awesome young man in action today playing rugby for his Harlequins team.
Day 4 of my thankfulness challenge holds lots of options, but here's the top three:
- I learned a new game called I Love You, and had three beautiful little teachers to show me how to play, plus one big one. Conducted in the winter sunshine and such a shining example of four open-hearted, amazing people
- Fun and laughter in simple things: so often the best fun comes from nothing much at all. Blenheim turned on a stunning winter's day that let us have a great lunch in the sun with friends
- Modern technology that allows me to talk to Conor even when I'm far away. So good to hear his voice and I love our daily practice of talking to each other when he is away from me
