Endings and beginnings
I try not to have many moments in life where I look back and say 'I wish I had captured that,' but this morning is one of them. We were up early at the bach (partly because one of us - the one recently returned from the tropics - was freezing) and partly because there was a meeting to get to. Coming up from the bach on the back of the bike through a snapping, crackling and popping frost was exhilarating and eye-watering at the same time. Definitely the biggest frost of the winter, and I wish now I had made the time to capture it.
My morning meeting gave the frost time to clear as the sun set about heating everything up. Post-meeting we headed to the beach for a dose of sun and surf... stunning colours, the sparkle coming off the water that I love so much and the Te Akau hills behind standing proud. A rare photo of Conor and I together, and a million other beautiful moments throughout the day.
