Such a pleasure
It was such a pleasure to host Scott Champion the CEO of Beef + Lamb New Zealand in Raglan over the last two days. Today was a visit to both our and my brothers' farms: the photo of the day is Scott chatting to my brother Steve atop a hill out on the farm where I grew up.
The polo ponies in the paddock were hugely interested in the topic of conversation and decided to join the meeting. Poor Scott - yesterday I had him smelling like a dog, and today I suspect he headed off to the airport wearing a faint fragrance of eau-de-cheval. But then again, that's farming for you - you usually end up smelling of something!
I am so proud of my family and the effort and passion they put into our farms. And so proud of farming in this country: it's such an important part of our history, present and future.
In other news - the first 353 images arrived on a courier today - day 364. Only one more photo to go to complete the 365. I wonder what it will be?
