I am an onion
Similarly to ogres (hopefully you get the Shrek reference), I've always known I have layers - and been interested in multiple ideas, ventures, and mediums. The myopic approach is not for me and I have re-created my life to give myself flexibility and variety.
I made this website so that I could do what I love and in the short time it has been live I am already surprised by the conversations it has ignited. Today was such a day - and that's where the onions come in.
Not just any old onions, these are particularly sweet: and able to be eaten raw - like an apple if you wish. A connoisseur's onion: the champagne of the allium family. I got to try one inside a ciabatta bun, laden with spicy apple chutney, wafer-thin roast beef, avocado, home grown heirloom tomatoes and micro greens. It was prepared with love and consumed outside with a view of the ocean. Now that's what I call a meeting.
A short time later, as I drove from one meeting with two lovely blokes to another with another lovely bloke, it occurred to me that for a single woman, I've got a lot of beautiful men in my life.
And this evening as my littlest lovely bloke came rocketing out of the car and into my arms after a week away camping, all was well with the world.
